Family time

We are had time with youngest daughter, SIL and boys, here at a breakfast club, watching Will join in was marvellous, great start to the day.
George loved the pool, he is happy splashing with mummy, could not get a photo of Will, he did not stay still, he loves this pool with water cannons and a huge pirate ship.
I managed to take a photo of Will in the outside pool, not so many children around, he is a water baby.
We have just returned from a short break at Woolacombe Bay in Devon, I have never visited before, it has a huge stunning sandy beach and is very popular with surfers, our accommodation was on top the hill, looking over the bay. The weather was very kind, it was wet driving down, dull on the 1st day and then warm sunshine, how lucky were we.

It felt lovely and safe there, in the main reception area we spent most of our time outside, you sat at a table and ordered anything you wanted, via a phone app, hubby set up his debit card, so it was quick and easy. The 1st night we has fish and chips on the camps takeaway, they were delivered to our door fresh and hot, we had a couple of BBQ's at daughters, SIL cooking both nights. Both chalets were lovely, daughters was bigger than ours, clean with everything we required, Will loved being in both, sadly baby George was unwell, full of cold, but he still smiled at everyone.
We are back home for the Bank Holiday, after a very long drive home, so many cars everywhere, I forgot the joys of Bank Holiday traffic, we have nothing planned.

  1. It's lovely at Woolacombe, especially if you get the weather, perfect for a beach holiday. Glad you had a good time. Such a shame that George was unwell but I'm sure he still enjoyed it and Will looks like he had a good time too.

  2. We love Woolacombe and try and get there at least once a year. We always find the Golden Coast chain of campsites very good and like your grandsons, our girls love the pools. Also the beach is so big that it never gets overcrowded even at peak times.

  7. The last time we went to Woolacombe my eldest daughter was about 4 and she is 39 this year, so a long time ago! But i do remember the beach being really lovely. White handbags were all the go and I remember Mark bought me one from one of the shops, funny what you remember :-) You certainly had the best week for weather. My middle daughter is going the week after next, I hope the weather is good for them, Bonnie has plans to play on that beach, lol
I hope George is feeling better now, It didn't seem to stop him enjoying himself in the swimming pool, it's lovely to see them having fun.
No plans for BH here either, I don't fancy sitting in traffic just to go out for the day.

    1. My goodness white handbags and white stiletto shoes, that's fashion for you, I loved mine. Both boys are water babies, which is pleasing to see, this summer George will start his swimming lessons, Will can already swim.

  8. I spent most of my school summer holidays in this area. Gran lived in Brixham. I often went with my eldest sister to Woolacombe Bay for the day out on the huge beach there. Fond memories! It sounds like you have had a really good break and plenty of quality time with your family. Amanda x
