Second half
I still have a bit of most colours left from this 3rd round, this yarn really does go a long way. I am now using these bits up and starting the 2nd ball of each colour.
The blanket is now really heavy, and very warm, I love to snuggle under it as I am working on it.
It is really quick to work up, simple stitches, which I do most evenings whilst hubby watches TV, plus the odd occasional afternoon, with all this rain we are having, and all the Christmas shoppers we are not going out much. I am not reading much this is filling my time, it's a labour of love.
The film yesterday was Fantastic Beast, the crimes of Grindlewald, we both enjoyed the film, there were only 6 people watching it. After we popped to M&S, where I purchased a chocolate log, it a tradition in this house, the use by date was good, but we always have chocolate logs Christmas day for tea. Plus fish and chips on the way home, perfection.

Mothering Sunday
Lovely cards from Will and daughter.
Looking good.
Friday, we went for a cycle ride in the morning, not too far staying local, in the afternoon we watched Finding your Feet, which is a brilliant film, hubby was worried as it's 'not his sort of film', but he totally enjoyed it.Saturday, morning we shopped around, looking for items for our bathroom, in Wicks, we found the perfect basin with cupboard below, a much bigger basin, but not too big for the room, the cabinet was a better quality, far more expensive than from B&Q. We also found the perfect shower cubical, in fact we had a choice of two, we could not get it in the car, so later in the week, we will go down in our van to collect. Afternoon my sewing machine came out, more on that in the next post.
Sunday, I asked for no gifts this year, I really do not require anything, and now all our own children have their children, I feel the day should be theirs. My phone has buzzed this morning with lovely messages. I am heading out into the garden for an hour, it's far to early to be doing much, but I love being outside. I might plan another sewing project later.
Just hubby and I today, Will, mummy and daddy are in Somerset visiting family. No plans, we don't go out for lunch, everywhere will be far to busy, we had a lovely meal last night, pie and mash, the pies were purchased from Cook, we will go back and get some more, they are good for an occasional treat.
I hope your Mother's day is everything you want it to be.

Restful weekend
Christmas on my desk
I love the tiny real conifer, without glitter, just a simple set of red lights.
To cheer me up, hubby got me a plant
how do the growers make money on plants selling at just £2.50
We did nothing over the weekend, loads of time reading and we found a couple of good films which we both enjoyed, I can't say which was best both are worth watching. We did not go to town shopping over the weekend, but our local hospital was requesting gifts for elderly patients, who would still be in hospital on Christmas day, so we walked to our local Superdrug and got two gifts and sent them to the hospital, just a simple thing to do.
Hubby went to Tesco today for some shopping, and hence he got me my plant, it is good to have him do the running around midweek, leaving peaceful weekends.
I'm feeling a bit brighter today, had a couple of nice things happen in work, it feels good to smile. Our Christmas opening times were confirmed and I have extra time off, and our final week will be dress down every day instead of just the Friday.
I'm off to finish reading Little Black Lies, it has me gripped, and I so enjoy turning the TV off and reading, lucky hubby loves to read as well.
