My little bit of this big World

11 years in a flash

I felt very nostalgic after my last post regarding my blog, through my post I have alot of family history, I have never put anything when things have been really bad (does not happen very often), so it is my happy place, I started looking through old photo's.
In this post I am looking back at my family.
Above is my baby photo, and early childhood photo with mum and dad, our 4 children together on a visit it Bristol Zoo and daughter Su looking so cute.
Mum and I, last photo before she became ill, I love this photo of hubby on the beach, he has not changed much, us looking small in a huge deck chair, and my beautiful grown up girls.
Brothers with their baby siblings, all happy to have another member of their families, taken in 2010, 2014 and 2018, plus the older boys on a day out to Fort Nelson, next to a huge shell, which they loved.
Sam is just 3 months older than his cousin Logan, they loved to play together, sadly not often enough as they live 100 miles apart, and finally a daft play photo with me and Sam.
Fun time out, the boys enjoying a meal with us, and a day at Marwell Zoo with a young Will, who loves, cars, trucks and tractors.
I spent ages looking at old post on my blog, then I got my books out and browsed, it is so much fun to look back, having words with photo's, so many memories, fun times, family is everything to me. A perfect way to beat the blues in my head and the gloom outside.

  1. What a lovely post. Photos can hold so many memories, and blogging is definitely a way to capture what's happening in your life at any given time. As you say, the words to go along with the photos, as in blogging, bring things back even more. What a lovely family you have.

  2. Your blog and the books you've had made make wonderful memories. No matter how much we enjoy life, the memories soon become distant and we struggle to remember exactly what happened, when and who with. I love my blog too. Best, Jane x

  5. It's lovely to see your family pics. I often look back on my blog to remind me of things and read what I have written. Sometimes its the positive comments, even though I only have a few each post that lift the spirits too. you have a lovely family.
