Poppy Patchwork

My little bit of this big World

TUSAL October

The girls are looking for a winter resting place,
and my ort pot is full of soft threads.

Loads of colours from my own work (still no name for it),

Not done much stitching so far this week, work is very busy, I'm having to cover two peoples roles so I'm tired when I get home, and Tuesday Sammy had his birthday tea. Hope to stitch tonight.

I hope you are keeping dry, we have had very heavy rain, and more due today, we are lucky no chance of flash floods, but driving is difficult.

  1. Lots of nice colours there.
Trying to keep warm as we had our first snowfall of the season, with more expected tomorrow!

  2. Sorry to hear you've been too tired to sew. Your vase of ORTs are growing nicely! I haven't started mine yet as I've been really good finishing things I've started long ago. So far finished the twins patchwork quilts, well on the way with a hand sewn hexagon patchwork started in the 70s (I wonder if this is a record) and I've picked up some needlepoint cushions, started in 2000. I also have two dresses cut out for a baby girl, intended for my daughter born in 1978. I was going to make them up for her baby but she's found out it's a boy so I guess they'll have to wait in the queue a bit longer! I hope you're having a restful weekend, Gill x
