My little bit of this big World

October round-up

Nothing on craft, I did get a couple of balls of yarn but hubby paid for them as I used them on the raffle prize blanket, so not recorded here, the new shed was expensive but very useful and just a few bulbs, if I had not got the shed it would have been a very cheap month.

Household spend was higher, we got the new towels for our bathroom, and purchased a few christmas and birthday gifts, our soup maker broke and hubby found an slightly upgraded model, plus the cost of paint and new stairs lights. All our holiday cost had already been paid, our spending money was low as we had loads of euro's already.

We picked our last crop of runner beans, we froze two bags, for two meals, we are back to eating soups at lunchtime, so any bits needing to be used are added to soups, so nothing has been wasted again.

My fitbit was working again, I reinstalled it on my phone, no change, so I let the watch fully run out of power, something it has never done, I charged it and it started updating data to the apt, sadly this week it has started playing up, so I have given up on it. On the plus side I get to wear a wrist watch I have owned for years and love, but £12 for a battery! Nothing to say about my weight, the weight I am is where my body naturally wants to be.

  1. I think many enjoy soup for lunch at this time of year :)

    All the best Jan

  2. Well done on keeping your spending down, save for the shed. It was worth it though to buy something that suits your garden and needs so well.

  3. I gave up on my Fitbit a while ago. It ended up just making me feel bad about myself. I'm much happier just being me as I am.
    Enjoy your soups :)

  4. Soup is one of the compensations of colder, duller weather.

  5. I've never owned a fit bit. I think my friend has one, and it tells her to move if she's still for any length of time. Xx

  6. Yes the price of watch batteries has leapt up, in fact husband flatly refused to buy a new one for his watch when the shop told him the price. He said he'd rather go without his watch and just use his phone to check the time when he's out.

  7. I stopped wearing my Fitbit a while ago. I found the sleep app interesting when I was having trouble sleeping, it's handy to keep a track of things, but my insomnia is much better lately so I don't need to keep an eye on that any more.
