Happy Feet

I have finished both rugs, which I will send off, they should appear on this web site,  pop there if you like dolls house miniatures, Laura had nice items at a good price. I have already started another small project.
Dream Sampler is off the frame, I have finished the centre panel, yet again I used my own placement of colour's. I have just two birds to stitch, but I need to mirror image the design so I get it in the correct place.
This is heading for our bedroom wall,
most of the colours are in our curtains, so it will fit in well.
My big projects I always place on the floor to take photo's, and every time Purdy has to inspect what I am doing, today is dry so she got closer than normal.
 Give away; Sweet Flowers,
I stitched this last year and it has been in my work box ever since, I really loved stitching it, the design was very different for me, the stitched area is 14" x 9", the whole fabric size is 19" x 17", colours used are grey, green and shades of pink.
 Give away; Romantic Sampler,
I stitched this two years ago, and it has been in my work box ever since, I really loved stitching it, the design was very different for me, the stitched area is 8" x 8", the whole fabric size is 17" x 15", colours used are pale mustard, shades of pink and purples, this is stitched and a natural colour fabric..
If you would like either of these, please leave a comment at the bottom of this post, remembering to state which one you would like, I am happy to send to any where, but you will have to make it into a finished item. I will be very happy to see them being used and loved.

It was very rewarding to go to our local hospital on Monday and it not be about me, my friend has to wait for her scan results, so soon another visit for support.
My job interview is put off until next week, the lady I am to meet is unwell, but I do have another interview on Friday. I have to go to our local job centre today to sign on, it's an awful place,  our government decided they would not offer me any help, hubby has a good job and our income is just above the threshold, but I have to have signed papers from them to get our mortgage paid, I'm not sure if it is the building or the staff.

I have been home most of this week, the house is very clean and the garden looks good, I have purchased another lean to green house, I now have two, we just have to put it together, it's just like Meccano.
This weekend I am on cat duty, our daughter is off camping, so for two days I will pop in and feed and play with them, hope to see Josh and Sam at some time as well.

Another finish

 Romantic Sampler is done
To say I'm pleased is an under statement
 To me it looks stunning
 Fliss my daughter loves it
Every bit of it make a perfect whole
With mixed pink material, this will be a cushion soon
 Simple but stunning
It was a pleasure to stitch.
I am now starting Patchwork Sampler by Jan Houtman and Tribal Cat, the sampler I am doing as it is designed, but the cat I am doing with shades of orange in memory of our cat Tiger, can't wait to get into both.

On Sunday I will have my next RAK, it involves Tribal Penguin, I have a great idea, so please pop back and see if you agree it's great.

This week is flying by, with the fine sunny days we are having and the foggy mornings it's a mixture of weather, but I am loving walking in my lunch break, and my weight is looking better. I have found an apt for iphone ;ipad and computer called MyFitnessPal, it's free to download and it helps you count calories, it has a real good data base of foods, and it's interesting to see what you are eating each day.

Spring is bursting into life in the garden, our Magnolia tree has loads of blooms, just waiting for a extra sunny warm day to burst. We are still fighting with all the cats from next door, they chase the birds and squirrels, it is a battle to keep them out of our garden.

I have finished the centre panel of Romantic Sampler,
As you can see not much more to do, two flower patterns at the top and two at the bottom. I am being really good and not starting any thing until this is finished, and I have loads I want to stitch.
The postie did come on Saturday and I now have more Tribal patterns to stitch, my plan is to start the cat one first, I want to do it in shades of orange, we had for years a ginger tom called Tiger, we have been hunting out photo's so I can have the correct shades. I plan to start this the week after next, a small project for me.
This time next week, I will be in hospital, getting over major surgery, my last operation if all goes well, so fingers crossed, the Tribal cat will be great for me to do whilst recovering. Hubby brought both series of Downton Abbey, I have seen them, but it will be great to watch again, it a plan to keep me resting.
Work was good today, I am spending alot of time training others to do bits of my job, I will be home for 3 weeks if all goes to plan, so warm sunny days are wanted.

This Sunday we are having a family Sunday roast, which will be good, every thing is ready for my hospital visit. I just want to get it over and done with, I hope to have my ipad with me so I can read all your blogs, if not I will catch up once I am home.

I'm off to stitch now, Romantic Sampler is so close to the finish line, it has been fun, but I am ready for another challenge.

Two finishes and a WIP

What a perfect title, and a great way to start the weekend
I have just to make this up as a hanging ornament, and I love it, but it's for daughter Su, so much so I have ordered another three from this designer, and I have another idea forming, once the postie arrives I will share my thoughts.
 Sweet Flowers
Part two is done, and I am counting it as a finish, I have to send this photo to the designer Angie and then later this month she sends everyone the next stage. I have only changed the leaves from pale pink to green, I love the lace work, stitching is very simple but it looks great.
 Romantic Sampler
I have started the centre panel, one large flower, I only have a few small panels to go and then this is done, it's by the same designer as Sweet Flowers.
Shopping yesterday, I found these hearts, the smaller one was attached to the bigger one, I have separated them, added the metal daisy to cover the holes and I will stitch a centre and add them to my heart tree, I am looking for different textures now, I had an idea to use buttons on a heart as well.

Family weekend at home, off to town soon, bit of shopping to do, the nice sort, clothes included, not the supermarket!. My garden is showing signs of life, spring is here, hope to spend an hour outside at some point.

Hurry up postie..................

I'm not sure

I am so undecided about the white stitching on my penguin,
this time I have used Paula's suggestion and gone around the outline with a silver thread.
I will show my daughter Su tomorrow and see what she thinks of it, I am making it for her, I think I would have liked it to be finer, but this is the only silver thread I have. I am hoping the more I do the better it will look, the white blobs go 3/4 the way up the front.

On a happier note, I have done another pattern on Romantic sampler, and it's another I like, this is for my other daughter Fliss, she loves anything vintage, so she is a big fan of this.
I am so close to the finishing line on here.
Tomorrow the next part of Sweet Flowers should be sent to me, so that's three on the go, it's hard to decide which one to do, with two getting very close to the finish line and another large project waiting in the wings.

I have a day off tomorrow, I will spend it with my daughter Su, we have nothing planned and all day to do it in, I want to do some stitching. Today was a warm sunny day and we both have our fingers crossed it will be the same tomorrow.

Look what was waiting for me at home last night, after 27 years together he is still a big softie, we have a nice meal cooked by Kev at home and watched a couple of films.
I have not done much stitching this week, Monday we had a glass of wine with our meal and I never stitch after drinking wine, and last night after all Kev's effort I could not do any sewing.
But I have been good doing some more on this Romantic sampler, I have finished all the beige, and have loads of flowers to stitch, I'm off to see Su and Gav tonight, they have almost finished their kitchen, so no stitching tonight.
I did allow myself a few stitches on Tribal Penguin, I just love it and I'm thinking of doing another but using random and different colours on the body, making it a bit funky.
Bad news tonight, my op has been put back 2 weeks, which is going to cause problems at work, my time off will clash with holidays, and I am unable to get a clear 4 weeks without anyone being on holiday, so I will speak to the hospital tomorrow and then my boss, I have a feeling my boss is going to be OK, but it will cause problems.

Paula I have not yet sent your parcel, I will get to the post office on Saturday, please forgive me, last weekend was a bit hectic.

Every thing else is good, the weather is warmer, I have spring flowers showing through in our gardens, Grace and Purdy are both doing well. I have started walking more each day and I feel better, not losing to much weight, but my tummy is looking less flabby, hoping to have a better figure before we are off to France in May.

Loads of finishes

Firstly thank you for all your kind comments on my last blog xx

More hearts, they are now hanging on my heart tree, on the dining room table, I still have room for more. Not showing my ABC heart, want it to be a surprise when Paula receives it.
Not a heart, but far to nice to pack away, think it will hang here until I get the Christmas tree out later this year. It has the design on both sides, so it can be seen from every angle.I love this design!
I have done a small amount on Romantic Sample, my drive for this is going, but I am going to have another go at it this week. It's for Fliss so I want to finish it, she has had a poor start to their weekend, so I am trying to cheer her up.
At craft club I started a small project, and stitched more last night, this is Tribal penguin by White Willow Stitching, I have done some of the white, but it does not show very well. I will leave this until next Saturday. We had a another new member, and more popped in to see what we are doing, so our numbers are slowly growing.
Grace is doing the right thing, staying in in her warm basket, she is home most of the day with us, Purdy is out hunting, bringing home mice, mostly dead, once a stray always a stray.
We have avoided the snow, had a flutter on Thursday night, but most was gone in the morning, but it is still very cold, loads of ice about, it does help most of our days have been sunny, from the inside it makes our garden look nice. My spring bulbs are coming through, not many flowers yet, but it is a bit early.

Kev is healing well, we have been told his bike is a write off, so he has to decide if he wants to purchase another, but I'm not sure he is ready to make that decision yet. I am walking and eating well to get myself ready for my op, just three weeks now, I an excited and a bit nervous, but it will be great to get it all done.

New stash

First Romantic Sampler, I have finished another two panels,

With just 4 panels and the centre flower to stitch the finish line is in sight, I have really enjoyed stitching this design, I love the colours, it's an easy piece to follow.

My new stash, I love this Simple Christmas by Waxing Moon Design,
I will order the correct silks for "Christmas" and match all the others. I do plan to stitch this soon, I will purchase extra thread and have the pattern and the thread as a RAK, here later in the year.
 Patchwork Sampler, Jan Houtman Designs,
I have wanted to stitch this since I saw it first, this is my next project, and I am itching to get it in the frame, but once it's in the frame every thing else will be set aside.
Tribal penguin by White Willow Stitching,
is very interesting, my daughter Su has a love of penguin's so I will stitch this for a surprise, I am thinking of stitching it on pale blue felt and making a cushion. It's OK Su does not follow my blogs.
I have been online and ordered more things, can't wait to see the postman.

Tomorrow we have the second craft club, I'm hoping Fliss will be able to come with me, Sammy her youngest son has not be too well, nothing sadder than a 14 month old lad feeling unwell.

Sunday Kev is planning to go on a motor bike ride with his club, wives are not required, so it might be nice to have time by myself, I would like to get my sewing machine out and finish off some projects.

Watch this space

Not heard anything regarding dates for op's, but not expecting them to get back to me so soon. Just waiting for all my bruises to heal, I have three, it is always a nightmare when needles are involved, took 4 goes before they secured a vein.

No snow, it's not even that cold here, typical January weather for the South of England, at least it is dry most of the time.

Catch up

I just have the shinny thread and the red beads to add, I am thinking of having a different colour bead on this side, will have to look at my stash. Then stitch it to the other one to make a two sided hanging ornament.
I have also done some more on my Romantic Sampler, I still love this and will make it into a cushion for my daughter Fliss, I will then carry on with Sweet Flowers when it is released each month. I also plan to do loads of small projects, I have a growing idea and will need loads of smaller items.
I spent last Sunday going through 3 years of my blog, and reading all the comments for each post. I have decided my next month's RAK is linked to my comments, and I have one lady who always leaves me such wonderful comments, so I am making plans.

Sunday was good, my scans went well, was told they had good images, so now I wait for my letter with a date. I will have to take a month off work, so I am planning to get out my Winter Watergarden and finish that. If I have the operation they are suggesting, it will be worth any extra discomfort.

New Year, different promise

I find myself with not alot of stitching time and very little interest in doing anything.
I have done one small pattern in bottom right corner, I do have some over stitching to do, I want to finish this and make it into a cushion for Fliss, it's her style and colours, she already knows, I would have liked to have it finished for her birthday next Monday, but that's a bit too much work.
This year, for this blog I have made myself a different promise, I have been thinking of doing a giveaway for a while, but I prefer to do something for the followers I already have, so through out this year, each month I am going to to a RAK for a few of my followers.
My 1st RAK is for my newest follower http://ricketyjo.blogspot.com/, I'm not sure if her name is Jo, but in her 1st blog for this year, she states she would like to sew Lizzie Kate and do something for halloween, so I am sending her the items below.
I fancy doing something with these beads, I have had them for ages, sat in my bead drawer, I love the colours, I am thinking of making a tree decoration.

I am off work for a couple of days, I feel as if I have flu, but without the cold, I don't like to take sick leave but I ache so much, hopefully a few days rest will help, it was very busy time over the New Year, I think I probably over did things. We have no real plans over the weekend, Josh wants to take us to a local fort for a visit on Saturday. I should do some cleaning now the Christmas decorations are all packed away again.
