Proud mum

Both daughters before their Moonlit memories walk
raising funds for Rowan's hospice
1000 people walked
We picked them up at 12.30ish
a late night for me, but I got loads of stitching done
this central design is almost finished,
the gaps have two different designs,
I have to decide what colour to use, or even to add a new colour
Melon time, it's steadily increasing in size,
I have a couple other small ones forming
I think I will limit how many I allow to grow,
it's better to have a few I can get to harvest size.
 Question time
these are free flowers from my neighbours garden
can anyone identify them for me please.
I'm tired this morning it was past 2am when I got to bed, I really can't remember the last time we were up so late, but we are having a lazy start on this Fathers day. Hubby has had his lovely cards and a couple of gifts, later we are off out for the day.

Boys

This is coming along well, I did loads on Saturday night
and Sunday early evening
I am pleased with the colours I have chosen
trying to be adventurist
Josh was in a great mood
I printed out more of his collection cards
He is loving filling these in
Sam just wanted to spin in my chair
 Kiwi, seedlings
I have another 6 in the greenhouse
It's the melon again, coming along nicely
I will have to support it soon,
I can use old stockings.
It was lovely to see the boys after school, now I'm home alone, hubby is playing golf, so peace in our little house hold. It's a sunny evening here, I hope to go for a walk later.
I went back to work today, I still have a cough and runny nose, but not enough to keep me off. There ares still problems in the office, I just got on with my work, why is the most disruptive person in the office  the bosses favourite, she sits and chatters all day, don't get me wrong we all stop and chat, but the same voice and laughter all day, it does drive me mad. Oh well peaceful now.
Going to get Fish and chips for tea, just me so I won't cook, a nice treat.
We moved the sitting room furniture around yesterday, Grace is not happy, so I will have her on my lap later, Purdy checked the place out and is settled.

What a week

My good read for June
Brilliant read, in just two days, perfect when you have a summer cold, with sore throat and cough, snuggle down and read a good book.
I will find a couple more of her books to read.
I have passed it on to daughter.
 My new design came through,
Designers colour's three shades of pale pink
I thought these flowers looked like forget me nots
I have not been in the garden much,
fruits still grow,
outside strawberries almost ready
my melon has almost doubled in size.
 The orchid flower fascinates me
plus a pretty flower from the garden
I must be feeling better, I walked around our little plot this morning, I have not been out since Tuesday, the rain last night  helped keep it looking good. It's very muggy (love that word) here and has tried to rain, so another day inside.
I am feeling much better this morning, partly due to sleeping for most of last night, sleep has been my problem for most of this week. I have been rubbing Vick's Vapour Rub in my neck, back and front and one night on my feet. I love the smell, for me I find it does work, thankfully hubby is happy to share a bed with me, he laughs and comments it helps clear his nose as well. I have problems with alot of the newer medicines, I stick to what I know works.
I am using my new computer, which I set up this morning, my brother did most of the work, I just had to import personal items I wanted back on here. I have left loads on my external hard drive, along with all my stored photo's. It is great to click and not have to wait ages for the page to change.
We took delivery of our new fridge freezer yesterday, we had to wait 4 hours before we could turn it on, which we did, but there's a problem, it does turn on, but only works for a few seconds, they sent a man this morning, who needs to order parts, so we decided to get a new FF, but we got it on line, the model we wanted was not on sale in shops, and now we have to wait another 14 days whilst they order it in. To be fair they offered us another from stock, but we like the style of the fridge, so we have to wait. Thank goodness we still have our old one.
We were due to be away this weekend, back to Somerset, but we have put it off for a few weeks, so I am looking forward to a lazy weekend.

I've felt better

Melon anyone, beginning to swell
grows in the hot greenhouse, I keep the door shut all day
 More white flowers
growing in the bottom corner
 Love in the mist
I threw loads of seeds in the side bed
reminds me of my mum's garden
 Getting ripe, these are outside
Question when are gooseberries ripe, how can I tell
Stitching, just a few of the pale brown flowers to do
I'm really ahead on this, packed away until part 4 comes
New stitching design should arrive tomorrow.
Lovely walk around my plot, it only takes minutes, but I love to note the changes each day. It is sunny this evening, not to warm, but nice to see the sun.
I am going to do nothing tonight, I have a full on summer cold, and I feel rotten, I did not sleep well last night, so tired with a sore throat. plus there was a huge argument in the office on Friday when I was off, and the atmosphere is really cool, I have just kept my head down and got on with the job.  Our supervisor who is weak is involved and he is taking sides, oh well, the joys of office life.
My Kiwi seedlings, I now have 23 are getting stronger, not sure what I will do with them all. I also have some grapes, looking for one with a pip, I am enjoying the challenge of pips and stones, just some fun to see how far I can get them to grow.

Summer's back

This Aquilegia has opened today
stunning
 Love these yellow ones with
Love in the mist forming
Can you see the melon just forming behind the flower
I have 3 on this plant
 I'm annoyed
sad looking pepper
 Under the tree,
I have sweet peas growing out of the chimney
 Olives looking good
 Fruit, tomato's and marigolds
Inside can you see 4 tiny green shoots
soon to be Kiwi plants
I am going to finish this bottom corner
I love to be ahead on this stitch along
I can work out the pattern from other parts of the design
Life is so good when I can be home from work at 3.30pm and it's sunny and hot, no boys tonight, but hubby and I enjoyed resting with a cool drink watching the birds. Both our cats joined us in the shade, a lovely start to our evening.
Nothing planned for tonight, just home with eldest daughter Fliss, so I will do some stitching.
No work tomorrow, I have a day off, I have my last hospital appointment in the Breast Care Centre, the hope is for me to be signed off as the end of my treatment, I do have tablets to take until December, then I should be free of every thing. I am craving a normal life, the pills I have to take make me tired, make my joints ache and which does not allow me to exercise too much, hence the battle with my weight. I don't expect a magic ping and I'm back to my old self, but the hope is soon I will feel stronger and take small steps to being fit and healthy.
Either way the sun shine is helping with the feel good factor.

Behind my Chocolate Cosmos back again
  And some stitching
I have a couple of weeks to get this section done
before my new design is here
After a quick pop to town, I have spent the day in the garden, loads of bedding plants are in, spring pots have been sorted, and the back area is now tidy, it helped the day has been warm and sunny.  I have added nets to the two fruit areas, I would like to make cages, but I have no where to store them when not in use. It has gone dull now, light rain would be helpful, if not I will be out with the watering can.  I have placed my Lemon and Lime plants outside, I have a warm spot by the garage, where they will get warm sun the whole day ( well if it shines).
We had lunch outside, we scattered dried worms on the lawn and watched the starlings and their young squabble and feed, I love being so close to the birds. Since I have come in our squirrels have visited for their feast on the nuts.
Tonight we are home, hubby is cooking salmon for our meal, and a glass of wine. We are having a fruit salad as well, most of the soft fruits at our local Co-op was a £1 each plus discount, a nice treat.
Tomorrow I am working 8am to 2pm, long enough to get loads of work done, but home early enough to get the afternoon together. I do not plan to work next weekend.
I have planted my pepper seeds, and I am ready to send them on to the next person who will be Linda, please email me your address and I will get them into the post.
PS, Grace did get to the vets, she's OK and everyone loved her, helps she is so pretty.
