Our first double sleepover went well, both stayed in their beds, Molly slept right through, George came to look for me just before 10pm, but was happy to get back into bed, they are always both in bed by just after 7pm. George would have slept later Sunday morning, Lilly got into the room and jumped on his bed, George loves Lilly.
Saturday daughter came over with her 3, Grandma and Grandpa popped in for a drink and chat, they took Will home with them, they are going to London for a few days, visiting museums and other stuff Will loves, most of the day was relaxing in the garden.
Hubby cooked a Sunday roast, using new potatoes, runner beans and cauliflower from my garden, we also made blackberry and apple crumble, but did not eat it as we were full, both Molly and George asked for extra, they do eat better when Will is not around as he is fussy and they copy him. Daughter enjoyed her lunch as well, having had a restful evening with friends, a lazy start to the morning and the knowledge she would not need to cook.
Later we rested, watched ladies football final and went to bed just after 9pm, we are both refreshed this morning, nothing beats going to bed tired and sleeping all night.
Looking back a great weekend.
How lovely to have the children sleeping over. It's a long time since we've had that and I do miss it, but children grow up and do different things.
ReplyDeleteWe cherish these moments as these two are the youngest and last grand children, soon they will be too grown up for such fun.
DeleteWell done to the Lionesses. The winning penalty kick was a scorcher.
ReplyDeleteIt was, normally I don't watch football, Spain played well, its always hard to lose a match on penalties.
DeleteMolly and George are growing up rapidly, their faces are losing the babyish look. They obviously have a close and loving bond.
ReplyDeleteGeorge is 18months older than his sister, but they are now like twins.
DeleteIt certainly sounded a good weekend and I enjoyed the photographs you shared.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
A double sleep over how lovely.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
