Molly has her own style, quirky comes to mind,
much like her mum at the same age.
These are from last weekend,
she does love her sparkly jacket, and hats.
Hubby made the pancakes on Tuesday, I added all the good stuff, George had raspberries, bananas and ice cream on his, all 3 children had two small ones each.
Molly loves to paint, this Hello Kitty kit kept her happy for ages, I do love her independent way of using colour.
Wednesday was Will's birthday, 9 already how quickly the years fly by, hubby made his favourite red velvet cake, made with plant based ingredients so Molly and George could have some. No photo of Will, he asked me not to post any.
Molly slept over on Tuesday, George instead of sleeping over went home really late on Wednesday, Will on Thursday, having them one at a time works better for us. It's nice to give individual attention to each child, they are happy and comfortable here. It was great having them here together for 3 days, mummy took home two each day, but we did both get tired.
We did not go out anywhere, the weather was just so dire, both little ones loved the different toys and puzzles here, Molly loves paper and crayons, George is still car mad, Will has an army game he loves playing on his tablet, not for too long, we watched a movie together, plus he started reading a new book we gave him.
Later today I will drive Will home, I'm sleeping over, daughter has a spar afternoon, evening and Saturday morning at a local hotel, time for her to relax, I'm very comfortable at her home and the children are all good at bedtime, hopefully Molly won't wake up too early.

Wow - you've been kept busy!
ReplyDeleteOur kids 'children' are all cats, so when they go on holiday, we get the cats (although I suspect that might change now there is a dog in the mix).
I remember those miserable weather crafting days when my boys were young - it is great fun but exhausting!
Molly certainly does have a quirky style....I hope that stays with her as she grows up, I think it's lovely to be an individual rather than a sheep. George has grown up so much!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that you've been able to spend time with the children over half-term and that they've each had their own time with you. They're all growing up now, it's doesn't seem two minutes since Will was born, where does the time go.
ReplyDeleteMolly is quite the fashion queen. George looks very studious in his glasses.
ReplyDeleteSounds a fun half-term.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures of Molly and George and Wills birthday cake looks delicious.
All the best Jan
Such a gorgeous post to read and see. I cannot believe Will is 9 already! They will all have brilliant memories of staying with you and grandad!
ReplyDeleteI love Molly's style. I hope she doesn't grow out of drumming to her own beat and fall in with convention. I fear that happens to a lot of girls.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of the grandchildren!
I just love Molly's style. And George looks like he's really enjoying those pancakes.
ReplyDeleteBelated Birthday wishes, Will! Where did those 9 years go!?
Your grandchildren always look so happy, Marlene. It's a joy to wee those smiling faces. Xx
Molly looks cute in her sparkles. Glad you had a nice half term with the children. I'm sure their mum appreciates the break and time to have some self care.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely time spent with the little ones, though in reality they are not so little anymore.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Sounds like lots of good kid time!
ReplyDeleteMolly has a style all of her own which is a real delight. I love her outfits. I can see she has a bit of an artistic streak in her.
ReplyDeleteBelated birthday wishes to Will. His birthday cake looks very yummy.
