We spent Monday afternoon and early evening in Windsor, we did not visit the castle, on our last visit we spent the day in the castle, post here.
We decided to walk around the town enjoying the views and catching different glimpses of the castle above the rooftops.
Loads of union jacks everywhere
A walk along the river Thames
Our hotel room had the air-conditioning on, so our room was nice and cool, it was noisy through the night, but that's expected when staying in a urban place.
People-watching is a great way to spend time.
ReplyDeleteI always loved visiting Windsor during the school holidays. It was just a short train journey from home so I packed some sandwiches and went with my best friend for the day. It wasn't quite so busy back then!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely few days away. I don't know if I've ever visited Windsor. If I have it must have been many years ago. Looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteI love to people watch, though when we go on tour I don't seem to have the time to enjoy that.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
What a glorious day! Windsor is somewhere I'd love to visit. Xx
ReplyDeleteSeems amazing to me, that you can go to these places that we have only seen on TV, so easily.
ReplyDeleteIt's the same when we see post from other countries, places we will probably never visit.
DeleteI love the ducks photo.
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs from your time in Windsor.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Lovely photos and I’m glad that the weather was kind!
ReplyDeleteI’ve not been to Windsor since I took my two children to Legoland and we stopped to look around Windsor. That was many years ago but nevertheless it was so busy and I remember that getting back on to the M4 was quite frightening!
Glad you enjoyed your visit to Windsor and that the weather was kind to you . Lovely photos along the Thames and of the castle.
