Valencia

Today we visited Valencia, we have been many times before, we love this Spanish city.
The city is full of tall apartment buildings, so the streets feel very narrow, but there is shade everywhere. I love the style of the buildings.
The oranges on the trees are a type which are not very nice to eat, so the trees stay full of fruit. The main harvest time is over, so soon these fruits will drop from the trees.
There are two places I love to visit, this is a small market, which is mainly craft, sewing, knitting and crochet. The stalls have so many different things on sale and is much cheaper than UK.

The second place is a huge covered permanent market for food, they sell everything here, the smells are wonderful, and everything is so fresh, it's a lovely place to walk through, but you need plenty of time, it is huge.

Today is very warm and sunny, perfect for walking around the city, I did buy some yarn for my weaving, and some fine coloured cotton for crochet, the prices are very good, 200grms of fine cotton yarn for 10euros, it will be perfect for threading my loom.
We have not taken many photos, we have so many from other visits, we have not been in any shops, we are going to an out of town shopping center later in the week, with our friend and her 2 daughters.
I am knitting socks using the wool given to me on mother's day. This holiday is about rest, chatting and catching up with Spanish friends, oh and eating Spanish foods.
For some strange reason blogger won't allow me to post any comments on your post whilst using my ipad, no issues on my phone, but I prefer to use the larger screen.

  4. We loved our visits to Spain ( although it was Mallorca ) we always stayed it the little towns and fishing villages and in the mountains. We had one trip to Palma and we didn't like it. Perhaps one day we'll get to visit mainland Spain. Have a lovely time. Best, Jane x

    1. The oranges on the tree's are left to drop, they are not used for anything, even the birds leave them alone. We were lucky as they are due to drop anytime.
