15 anyone

We popped to Chichester today, loads of independent shops
I got some more patchwork fabric,
plus black material for the back of Sheffield cushion
 Another new author
This is my book for March
I was given a web site 'read it swap it' and suggested I have a look
it's a must for book lovers so I have registered.
I did buy two dresses
My shopping trip for a wedding outfit was a bit of a disaster, I found loads of lovely fitted dresses, in styles I love, but a size 14 was rather snug and in every case the size 16 was too big, so I need a size 15, which no one sells. Both dresses above are a size 14 and both fit well, the plain one from Wallace and the other from Laura Ashley. I saw loads of lovely Jackets, but did not purchase any today, I still have a few weeks. I am thinking the plain Navy with a nice Jacket, gold shoes and bag. Both hubby and I had enough of shopping. We did go into a huge craft, fabric and everything shop, hubby was bored.
Our meal last night was good, the pub was a bit of a drive, but it was a foodie place, we both had two courses and would go there again. The bottle of bubbly stayed in the fridge, I'm such a light weight these days, but the plan is to pop it tonight. We had an early meal so hubby could be back to watch his beloved Wales beat France, so I managed to stitch a few simple rows.
Tomorrow I am out with daughter, going to wedding venue, checking everything is in place.

  1. I forgot to tell you on your last post how much I like your new Christmas Tree pattern :)

I eel for you on your wedding dress shopping. When we got married I wanted to find something that my 2 bridesmaids could wear after the wedding. Nothing formal and frou-frou. Even if we had been in our 20's neither one of these would have worn frou-frou. LOLOL

They ended up wearing their own black skirts, black hose and black flats with a white mock turtle neck. They both had all of these pieces. I ended up buying each of them a brown tones jacket that looked like it had a needlepoint pattern on it. This way they didn't have to try on tons of dresses that would have made me laugh :)

  2. I have that same book waiting to be read on my Kindle, I'd seen someone mention it on their blog saying it was good, but then they changed their mind part of the way through and didn't like it as much so I'm hoping that it's okay. I look forward to hearing what you think of it. Mick and I went out for a meal last night too, Eleanor was at her boyfriends so it was nice to have some time out together.

  3. I think I have that book in my 'to read' pile, so I'll be interested to see how you get on with it. Pretty dresses.

  4. Sounds like a successful shopping trip, it's hard to find a perfect fit anywhere most of the time. That book site sounds interesting, I'll take a look.

  5. Hi
Don't know if this will help but have you ever heard of a mother of the bride designer called Ann Balon - she does some beautiful matching fitted dress and jackets in lace fabrics but being lacey the fabric has a little bit of 'give' - you would probably fit easily into a size 14 (if not a 12) - I've had 2 of her outfits for my son and daughters weddings and felt comfortable in them all day but also very 'dressy' - just a thought for you - I remember that there's so much think and plan for when there's a wedding in the family - I hope that you'll have a brilliant day xxx

  6. I have never read that author and would love to know what you think of the book. I am in a small book club and we are always looking for suggestions. I think the weeding wardrobe sounds very pretty.
