Our heating failed to work on Tuesday morning, it was cold we had our first frost, we had hot water, so the boiler was working, hubby checked our hive, which would not link to the boiler on the schedule programme so we used the manual settings, he has disconnect and reconnect which seams to have sorted the issue, later we popped to Asda, mainly a stock up with bits we can't get at Lidl, it was horrible, I really dislike those huge stores, we did not buy many Christmas treats, sticking to our view to have less treats. We should now be OK and not require another visit until the new year, we both hate supermarkets in December.
Wednesday was a day at home, hair cut in morning, she comes to my house, housework was done and a lazy afternoon. Thursday I had an eye test, new glasses have been ordered, it was expected, my eyesight has deteriorate this year, they will be ready in a couple of weeks. Today we were going out, but George is poorly and Will has a day at home, so we will stay home incase we are needed, George's oxygen levels can drop very quickly.
I've still not done any crafting, I have truly lost my mojo, I have wool, fabrics, needle felting and cross stitch supplies, and a few different ideas, but I just can't get started, I am reading again.

Oh those Christmas mugs are pretty. May as well use them, early or not!
ReplyDeleteCrafting goes in phases with me... winter is a good time for reading!
ReplyDeleteReading is good for you !
ReplyDeleteWe had boiler problems this week, too. I think they do it deliberately.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking I'd soon start using our Christmas mugs, too. They cheer up the dark days.
... I almost started using my Christmas Mugs today but then thought NO I'll wait for the 1st of December.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Very pretty Christmas mugs. I think I may have to pull mine out as well. Not as pretty as yours, but lovely to use for winter (mine are snowmen and can be used all season).
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
The silver ones have reindeer on so could stay out longer.
DeleteThis was not the week to lose heating! I'm glad you got that sorted out! I haven't done anything for Christmas yet. I wait until after our Thanksgiving (next week) so I don't decorate too early -- for me, anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope George is feeling better now. We had our first snow on Wednesday, only a thin covering, other parts of Yorkshire were knee-deep apparently. The weather has definitely changed now, it's been rather mild up to this past week.
ReplyDeleteNice to ring the changes for a few weeks with the Christmas mugs. My Christmas cake is also being fed with brandy. We are both looking forward to eating it this year as it is the first time hubby has baked a fruit cake himself.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, Marlene.
